Frequently Asked Questions

Evie's has a policy to only provide services for desexed cats & dogs.

If you will be away for longer than 1 night - a "Pet Sitting" service must be booked in.

The Drop-In service can be handy for owners who are home of a night but require their pet to be checked on during the day.

Your dog must be wearing a collar with its Council ID tag attached as well as a tag with your contact details (this is a legal requirement).

They will also need their lead (no retractable leads or choker chains).

Please ensure that your dog's flea, tick & worming treatments are up-to-date and that any dogs with white noses have had sunscreen applied prior to their walk.

Yes, all dogs & cats must be fully vaccinated to use the services of Evie's.

Proof of up-to-date vaccination, administered at least 2 weeks prior, must be sighted before any services may go ahead.

This is to protect your pet from illness & also to protect any other pets they may come into contact with.

1. Please use the Bookings / Contact Us page to express your interest and give us some brief details.

2. Evie's will contact you and provide a quote for service.

3. Depending on the service type you are after, we may organise a complimentary Meet & Greet at your home, so we can get to know each other. Meet & Greets are required for Pet Sitting and Drop-In services.  For Dog Walks and Pet Transport, we will send you an Intake Form to complete.

4. Pending a successful Meet & Greet, we will confirm the service fee & booking, and ask you to sign our Terms & Conditions.

For the safety of both your pet & us - only lead-trained dogs can be taken for walks. This means that your dog must not pull excessively on the lead when walking & that he/she will respond to basic obedience cues such as "sit".

No. It is against the law to walk a dog which has been declared dangerous or aggressive. The safety of staff is always of paramount importance.

Dogs will remain on the lead at all times whilst on a walk - to ensure their own safety.

Yes. Any dog we care for is required to be microchipped, with up-to-date owner details on record for the chip.

You'll need enough pet food and treats to cover the time you are away plus a couple of days extra - just in case your plans change.

Other items required might include any medicines or regular flea, tick and worming treatments - if they will need to be given while you are away.

If you have a dog which will be going for walks during the Pet Sit, please provide the items detailed under "What do I need to provide for a dog walk?"

Services are required to be paid for within 48 hours of a booking being confirmed.

For dog transport - a lead & collar are required (collar must have a council registration tag and engraved ID tag attached).

For cat transport - a carry cage or pet pack is required.

Evie's services the suburbs of Brisbane and surrounds.
